Henrik has 20 years' experience of downstream purification, from joining legacy Amersham Pharmacia Biotech as Senior Scientist in R&D chromatography resin. Later, as Product Manager for over 10 years, he headed and expanded the custom consumables organization offering customization within segments such as chromatography resins, ReadyToProcess columns, small scale pre-packed columns and Primer supports for oligo synthesis.
Henrik has a Ph.D. in synthetic organic polymer chemistry from the Royal Academy of Engineering (KTH) in 1998. A Post Doc graduate at UC Berkeley in California, USA on improved drug delivery systems of cytotoxins, Henrik moved back to Sweden in 2000.
Avril brings experience from large scale bioprocessing and a profound understanding of process intensification. She joined the GE Healthcare's Life Sciences business, now Cytiva, in 2015 as a Bioprocess Hardware Specialist. Her contributions have led to several successful tech transfers globally, including Amgen Singapore's Next Generation Manufacturing facility.
She previously worked in manufacturing and process engineering at Diosynth.
Avril has been an ISPE member since joining the student chapter at North Carolina State University where she received her degree in Chemical Engineering. She is an ISPE Rocky Mountain Chapter board director and a Facility of the Year Award (FOYA) committee chair.
Fredrik has over 20 years' experience in biopharmaceuticals, joining Cytiva (formerly GE Healthcare Life Sciences) in 2007. In his current role 8 years, previously he has held positions as Engineering Project Manager and Product Manager for chromatography resins, pre-packed and traditional chromatography columns.
Prior to Joining Cytiva Fredrik worked as Process Engineer in manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals, in various investment, GMP compliance and development projects and as Project Manager for a turn-key facility provider.
He holds a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Economics.
Peter drives development activities for smarter and faster process development of biopharmaceuticals and is active in Smart PD, such as implementation of QbD compliant PD, HTPD and mechanistic modelling of chromatography.
Previously, he was responsible for multimodal and HIC BioProcess resins and was part of developing resins such as Capto adhere ImpRes and Capto Core 700. Peter started his career in R&D with the application of NIR-spectroscopy combined with artificial intelligence based modelling for fermentation and cell culture optimization and studied protein surface interactions fundamentally in his PhD. He holds a MSc in Biotechnology and a Licentiate of Engineering in Fiber and Polymer Chemistry from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
