Our network of Members and volunteers is being leveraged for tremendous positive impact in many places around the world. ISPE is celebrating our volunteers from 27 April - 1 May during ISPE Volunteer Week. Each day we will be spotlighting a group of ISPE volunteers highlighting the ways they are getting involved at ISPE to make an impact with the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industry.
Volunteer Roles: ISPE Philippine Affiliate President; ISPE Asia-Pacific Advisory Council Chair
Vivien Santillan has been an ISPE member since 2012. For the entirety of her ISPE membership she has served as a volunteer for ISPE. For the past six years, Vivien has held an officer role, most recently serving as the President of the Philippines Affiliate. She also has been the Chair of the Asia-Pacific Advisory Council (APAC) working hard to coordinate initiatives and programs relative to the Asia-Pacific region. In addition, Vivien is an active volunteer for Women in Pharma (WIP) and is growing that initiative within her region.
Volunteer Roles: Past ISPE Great Lakes Chapter President; ISPE North America South America Advisory Council (NASAAC) Chair
Deborah has been an ISPE member since 2004. During her years as an ISPE member, she has been active in the ISPE community through networking, volunteering, and being part of her local ISPE Chapter. She also has been the Chair of NASAAC, working hard to coordinate initiatives and programs relative to the region. Deborah has also given her time to consult with our ISPE International team to provide a voice on the industry.
Volunteer Role: President, Ireland Affiliate and Chair of the European Affiliate Council
Eamon has been an ISPE member since 2004. Eamon is the President of the Ireland Affiliate and Chair of the Europe Affiliate Council. Eamon has been active in the ISPE community through constant volunteering – locally as well as globally. The success of the Ireland Young Professionals is a direct result of his support and drive for Young Professionals and has been shown through his passion for working with young people. His steady guidance of the very successful 2019 ISPE Annual Conference hosted in Dublin, Ireland ensured a record attendance. Eamon has been pivotal in the successes of additional conferences hosted in Ireland, and he is recognized for his ongoing contributions to the European Affiliate Council. Eamon and the ISPE Ireland Affiliate is helping a local Covid fighting initiative by tracking companies who produce personal protection equipment and more.
Volunteer Role: Europe Young Professional Chair
Zen-Zen has been an ISPE member since 2016. Zen-Zen has stepped up and is leading two important European Young Professionals programs – in addition to the Europe Young Professionals Chair, she leads the Europe Young Professionals Strategy Team. She has developed several documents (e.g., Europe Young Professionals Roles & Responsibilities) and is working with other European Young Professionals on a strategic plan that corresponds with the ISPE 2020-2023 Strategic Plan, and is working on a Europe Young Professionals webinar program by and for EuropeYoung Professionals. She is actively involved and takes a lot of time for calls and meetings.
Volunteer: Monique Sprueill, CMQ, OE, PMP, Senior Manager, Q&C Strategy, Insights and Innovation, Johnson & Johnson
Volunteer Role: Monique has served in Boston Area, Delaware Valley and New Jersey Chapter leadership, including serving as Student Affairs Chair, Young Professionals Chair, judge at the ISPE Young Professionals/Student Poster Competition and Coach at the ISPE Student & YP Hackathon.
Monique has been an ISPE member since 2002. Monique is always available to help at the Annual Meeting’s New Member Breakfast & Orientation, give candid comments at Annual Meeting, and participate in student and young professional competitions, both in her region and at Annual Meeting. She has been a wonderful role model for students, Young Professionals, and any volunteer who believes in the work of ISPE. She is currently a sub-team lead for the development and implementation of a Young Professionals Webinar Program in North America.
Volunteer Role: Student Chapter Faculty Advisor
Natacha has been an ISPE member since 2019. She is a highly motivated Faculty Advisor who has inspired numerous NCCU students to join ISPE and the NCCU Student Chapter. She brought several to the ISPE Annual Meeting 2019 Hackathon and champions them to remain engaged. She is an asset to the ISPE student chapter leadership team!
