Shinichi Okudaira, Ph.D., is Deputy Review Director in Office of Cellular and Tissue-based Products at PMDA, Japan. Office of Cellular and Tissue-based Products focuses on the review of biological products, cell therapy products and gene therapy products. He joined PMDA in 2013 as a reviewer in Office of New Drug V (Oncology Drugs), then moved to the current department in 2019. He is a member of ICH Q12 IWG.
Before joining to PMDA, he was an assistant professor in Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Tohoku University. He received a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, The University of Tokyo.
