Director of Business Development
Matthew P. Gorton is a seasoned professional in the Life Sciences industry, specializing in strategy, sales, and business development. Serving as the Director of Business Development at GBA. Matthew focuses on connecting partners, clients, and team members to foster success in the Life Sciences sector through collaborative and transparent efforts.
Matthew's skills encompass strategic planning, team leadership, effective communication, contract negotiation, marketing, and business development. His previous roles include Vice President of Business Development at DPS Group Global and Vice President of Business Development at Automated Systems of Tacoma (AST).
Earlier in his career, Matthew held the position of Regional Sales Manager in the liquid pharmaceutical division at Bosch Packaging Technology, managing sales activities in the Central region of the United States and Central Canada. He has also worked with FOSS and gained experience as an Industry Sales Manager, Marketing & CRM Software Manager, and Regional Sales Manager.
Matthew is actively involved with various industry organizations and is a member of multiple ISPE Conference Committees.
Matthew holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management, where he was part of the Leadership Advisory Board and participated in the Carlson School - India experience. He also earned a Master of Business from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Political Science from Truman State University.
