Lalin Theverapperuma Phd, is the CTO and Co-Founder of Expert Intelligence, where he leads the development of EI CoPilots—AI-powered lab assistants designed to automate QA/QC labs analytical testing workflows. These CoPilots handle high-volume sample analysis, delivering fast and accurate results. The AI platform’s proprietary technology aims to improve accuracy based on expert input, and accelerate data analysis to reduce manual effort and decreasing errors in quality assurance. Before founding Expert Intelligence, Lalin held leadership positions at Meta, SafeAI, and Apple, where he led the development of hybrid ML algorithms, oversaw multiple deep learning projects, and was a key architect of machine learning and signal processing systems for products like AirPods, where his innovations in audio processing and machine learning significantly enhanced performance. He has also contributed to AI projects at Intel and Bosch.
