Senior Program Management Officer, Drug Shortages Staff
Jeannie David is a Senior Program Management Officer with the CDER Drug Shortage Staff (DSS) in the Office of the Center Director at FDA. Jeannie joined the FDA in 2008 to work in pharmaceutical quality, as well as on the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) program. Jeannie joined DSS in 2012 to assist with the escalating crisis of national drug shortages. In addition to shortage work, she has helped with efforts including the creation of the FDA Drug Shortage Assistance Award, and is on the working group for OPQ’s new Site Engagement Program. Prior to joining FDA, Jeannie spent eight years in early stage target identification and drug development in the pharmaceutical industry, and several years in academic research at Stanford University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Washington University. She is an Excellence in Government Fellow and holds M.S. from University of Wisconsin-Madison and A.B. from Washington University.
