Hamid Teimourian serves as the Site Energy (Sustainability) Program Lead at AstraZeneca's largest global biologics manufacturing facility where he oversees the implementation of energy conservation and carbon reduction initiatives. He spearheads a multi-million-dollar program aligned with AstraZeneca's $1 billion 'Ambition Zero Carbon' strategy, which aims to eliminate emissions by 2026 and achieve carbon negativity across the entire value chain by 2030. Prior to this role, Hamid was the Facilities & PMO Director and a member of the site leadership team for AstraZeneca's operations in California. He is an active member of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE), currently serving as the Vice President of the Chesapeake Bay Area Chapter and a member of the ISPE Guidance Document Committee. Additionally, Hamid contributed to the core team that authored the ISPE Equipment Reliability and ISPE Maintenance (2nd Edition) Good Practice Guides.
