VP, Engineering & Project Delivery
Felix Velez is currently the Vice President – Engineering & Project Delivery, in Engineering & Property Services. In this role, Felix is responsible and directly accountable for the governance and management of the global J&J facility capital project portfolio (~$7BB). He is leading the Engineering & Design unit, Project Delivery Center of Excellence, Global Project Controls, Global Project Portfolio Management, and direct Project Management of large-scale strategic capital construction investments within J&J. He also chairs the Project Delivery Global Management Board and is a member of the Engineering & Property Services Leadership Team.
Prior to this role, Felix was the Senior Director responsible for Project Management across the Americas region, where he was responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and execution of major capital projects (~$2.5B), delivering against business strategies, commitments and goals. He is a strong Credo leader recognized for talent development within E&PS, customer centricity and collaboration by our stakeholders across all sectors and functions, and passionate community outreach by external groups (particularly FIRST Robotics).
Felix has over 26 years of diverse experience within J&J, mainly in Biopharmaceuticals, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Operations, Project Management and Process Excellence areas. He has a solid track record of understanding customer’s needs, translating them into tangible business objectives, working through challenges and conflicts, and delivering significant and sustainable business results.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez, and is a graduate of the J&J Compass/EQLD Leadership Development Program. Felix is a certified J&J Six Sigma Black Belt and is also certified in Flawless Project Execution (FPX).
