Damiano Totaro is a Data Management Scientist in the Biotherapeutics Process Development department at Takeda R&D. In this role, he is responsible for driving the digital transformation and automation of data management tasks within laboratory operations. He supports R&D through several global initiatives, including the implementation of cloud technologies, business intelligence tools, standardization and management of documentation, and in-silico experimentation.
With a rich background and experience in both data science and biotechnology, Damiano holds a Ph.D. in Bioprocess Engineering from University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna and previously worked as a data science and statistics consultant for the pharmaceutical industry.
