Learning to Lean-In in Today's Business Environment

“I know a little something about a woman in a man’s profession,” was presumably first spoken by Queen Elizabeth during her reign from 1558-1603. Now, however, a growing number of women are making their marks in industry, paving the way for generations to come so people won’t think “man” when they hear the word engineer, architect, or someone in a technical field. 2020 will celebrate the 100-year anniversary of women’s right to vote in the United States, and while we have come far, there is still progress to be made. In 2013, Sheryl Sandberg authored her book “Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead” sharing her personal stories and advice on how women can achieve their goals, sparking a worldwide call for women to “Lean In” with friends and co-workers to create a more equal world. Come meet a panel of local, leading ISPE DVC women to hear how they have influenced the industry and paved their own paths.
